How To Sell, Trade or Donate Your Books and CDs
Molly's is always looking for a wide variety of high quality books and CDs.
In choosing our inventory, we go book by book, considering the condition,
desireability and whether or not we need that particular title at that
particular time. There's no way of telling whether we can actually use
the book or what we can pay for it until we actually see it. We do accept
donations but we still have to be selective as to what we can accept.
If you only have a few books, just bring them in during store hours and we
will evaluate them and pay you cash or issue credit on the spot. In general,
we give 30% of our shelf price in store credit or 10% of our shelf price in cash.
Credit can be used for books, CDs or food and beverages. If you don't see what
you want at the time of the trade, we can issue you a credit slip, which can be
used anytime. (Please note that you are responsible for the credit slip, as
we don't keep a record of them in the store.) If you have a large collection
or more than you can comfortably walk in with,
we will ask you to get the books and CDs that you're interested in selling
together, so you can give us some idea of the subject matter, condition,
age and number of books.
Either call the store (215-923-3367) or stop by
(1010 S. 9th Street). We will try to get as clear a picture of what you have
to sell as possible, to save you the trouble of lugging down boxes of books that
we won't be able to use. If you have a big load of books and you really don't know
what you have, say, for instance, if you're settling someone's estate or cleaning
out a house, we might ask you to bring a sample box or two by so we can get an idea.
Under certain circumstances, we can make house calls but we prefer that you bring
them to us.
